Homicide squad detectives have identified missing Louthwoman Jillian Meagher in CCTV footage from the early hours of Saturday morning.
The latest development in the search for the missing ABC radio employee comes after forensics officers yesterday searched Ms Meagher and her husband Thomas’ home.
Forensics spent five hours in the couple’s home as part of routine enquiries.
Detectives were seen leaving the residence with a number of brown paper bags at 8.20pm last night.
The CCTV footage shows Ms Meagher, 29, walking north on Sydney Road, Brunswick, just south of Hope Street, at 1.41am.
She was last seen leaving Bar Etiquette on that same road at around 1.30am.
Police will analyse the footage and decide on what images can be released publicly.
Ms Meagher’s handbag was located in a laneway off Hope Street on Monday morning.
Police are examining whether the handbag was missed by police in the initial search or whether it was planted there afterwards, with DNA and fingerprint analysis underway.
Ms Meagher, a unit coordinator for ABC Radio, had been out with colleagues on the night of her disappearance.
Police were told she left to walk home.
The last time anyone spoke to her was after 1.40am when she called her brother, Michael McKeon.
Ms Meagher is described as being of a fair complexion, 165cm tall, slim build, long curly black hair and brown eyes.
She was wearing a blue dress, black jacket, black patterned stockings and high heels on the night of her disappearance.
